We would like to thank the German Weather Service for the provided source data and the Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt for financing the PIKee project by developing this portal. We would also like to thank Climate KIC for the support through the ClimateExpertSystem CIES project and the BMU, which is funding PIKee-BB to implement a variant of student education for apprentices.
We are grateful for the provision of data and coordination by the “Brazil East Africa Peru India Climate Capacities (B-EPICC)” project, which is part of the International Climate Initiative (IKI) of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK) and implemented by the Federal Foreign Office (AA).

Data from the Federal Office of Cartography and Geodesy (as of 01.01.2011) were used to represent the administrative regions of Germany (federal state and district borders). The basis for the rivers shown was the nationwide river network DLM1000W (digital landscape model on a scale of 1:1,000,000, object area water) from the Federal Environment Agency (UBA), as of June 2004. For the forest areas, we have based ourselves on the brochure "Discover the forest" from the BMEL. The mountain layers are taken from a map of the main natural areas in Germany (Federal Agency for Nature Conservation, 2008).
